# Shopify to Attentive installation guide

This guide shows you how to connect your Shopify store to the Attentive destination in the Littledata app. It takes a few minutes, and you sign in to Attentive once to approve the connection.

### Before you start

* The Littledata app is installed on your Shopify store.
* You can sign in to the Attentive account for this store, with permission to approve apps and integrations.
* Attentive is available on your Littledata plan. If it's under **Available with an upgrade**, you need to change your plan first.

### Connect Attentive

#### Open the Littledata app

In your Shopify admin, go to **Apps** and open **Littledata**.

#### Add the destination

In the **Destinations** section, click **Add destination**. A list of destinations opens, grouped under **Available in your plan**.

#### Choose Attentive

Find **Attentive** in the list and click **Connect** next to it. The setup opens on the **Connect your store to Attentive** screen.

#### Read the overview

Read the short overview, then click **Continue**. You'll see **No account connected** with a **Connect** button.

#### Sign in to Attentive

Click **Connect**. Attentive opens in a new tab. If you're not signed in, sign in to your Attentive account.

#### Approve the Littledata app

Attentive shows the permissions Littledata is asking for. Review them and approve the app. Then go back to the Littledata app tab (close the Attentive tab if it stays open).

#### Continue after sign-in

Back in the Littledata app, the screen title changes to **Attentive account connected**. Click **Continue**.

If you connected the wrong Attentive account, click **Change account** and sign in again.

#### Wait while tracking is added

You'll see **Adding tracking** while Littledata sets up tracking on your Shopify store. This takes a few seconds and moves on by itself.

#### Verify the connection

On the **Verify your connection** screen, click **Verify**. Littledata sends one test event to your Attentive account to check that the connection works.

The test event won't affect your existing campaigns.

#### Finish

You'll see **You're connected! Here's where to go next.** The Attentive connection is now live. Click **Skip to dashboard** to go back to the Littledata app, or **Explore the event editor** to see the events Littledata sends.

## Check your connection

**Check the destination card**

In the Littledata app, find the Attentive card in **Destinations**.

It shows a green **Connected** badge.

**Check events in Attentive**

Littledata sends **Product Viewed** and **Add to Cart** events as shoppers browse your store.

To test, visit your store as a known Attentive subscriber. View a product, then add it to your cart.

Open that subscriber's profile in Attentive and confirm the activity appears.

If you verified the connection but don't see events after a few hours, contact Littledata support.
