# How to use Segment's debugger to see Littledata events

## How to use Segment's debugger to see Littledata events

Segment's Source Debugger shows the calls your source receives in real time. Use it to check that Littledata events are reaching your Segment workspace, and that they're formatted correctly.

Littledata sends both client-side and server-side events to the same **Shopify (by Littledata)** source, so you see them all in one stream.

### Open the debugger

**Open your source**

In Segment, go to **Connections** > **Sources** and select **Shopify (by Littledata)**.

**Open the Debugger tab**

Click the **Debugger** tab. You'll see a live stream of the events your source is receiving.

**Inspect an event**

Click any event to see the properties sent with it. Use the **Pretty** view to read the call as it was sent, or **Raw** to see the full payload.

### Tips for using the debugger

* **Find a specific event:** type in the search bar to filter by event name or by any value in the payload, such as an order ID.
* **Pause the stream:** switch from **Live** to **Pause** at the top of the debugger. Events keep arriving at your source while the debugger is paused.
* **Know the limit:** the debugger shows up to 500 events at a time, so it's best for checking recent activity.
