Littledata uses several key identifiers to track user behavior and order data on Shopify. These identifiers help capture essential details across sessions, devices, and marketing campaigns. Here’s a quick overview of the main client IDs:
When a user places an order, these client IDs collectively track the customer’s journey—from ad click to checkout. _google-clientID and _up-clientID identify the user, _ga4session-clientID records their session, and _gclid-clientID attributes the sale to a Google Ad campaign.
If you uninstall the Littledata app, you may see some orders still come in with our cart attributes for the next few days. That’s because these orders were created from carts that were created before you uninstalled the app. These cases should even out a few days after uninstalling the app.
