Additional Details on Orders
Understanding client identifiers
When using Littledata to track Shopify orders and customer behavior, client identifiers ensure accurate data collection of user properties and essential session data points.
This article explains the different identifiers Littledata uses, which appear in the Additional Details section of your Shopify orders.
How Littledata tracks user behavior
Littledata relies on several key identifiers to capture user activity across sessions, devices, and marketing campaigns. Data such as client IDs, session IDs, IPs, and cookie information is securely encrypted under a single attribute: __ld_attr
Managing note attributes
You can now control whether Littledata stores identifiers as note attributes in your Shopify orders. This setting is available in the Data pipeline section of the Littledata app.
We generally recommend keeping the note attributes enabled to ensure accurate collection of these identifiers. Turning them off can slightly affect the data quality in your end destination.
What happens after uninstalling the app?
If you uninstall Littledata, some orders may still include cart attributes for a few days. This happens when orders are placed from carts created before Littledata was uninstalled. These cases should resolve within a few days.
